You are going to need to memory test for at least 8 hours.

Tigey,
I've been very busy lately and apologize for the reply delay.

In about 2 hours I'll review posts to make a recommendation.

Will probably ask some of the others to help out so that you are not left hanging on a limb.

I am surprised that no one has asked you to go into event viewer and see if there are any comments there.

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab (also windows logs>system)

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.

The only errors in the event viewer are the critical "Windows has just recovered" message. No other indications of crash.

I suspect that you may have a program with a memory leak.

Go into the startup tab of MSCONFIG and uncheck everything that isn't absolutely essential.

Essential would be your anti-virus software and you touchpad/mouse software.

I'll include a snip of my Startup list.

Any programs you run, be sure to exit them when you are not using them.

Try to minimize the number of programs you have running.

Microsoft software won't be a problem. You can leave MS software running.

After startup having unchecked everything in startup tab (no microsoft startup items), froze after about 10 minutes; no help there.
