    No video at all

I was just installing win 7 on my mums pc. I was doing the second round of updates and it finished all those and restarted. now I have no signal from the video card or onboard video. The pc is nothing flash but enough to run it. I cant see anything on the screen to work on it. bios doesnt even come up. any ideas on what I should do?

And this is with both a graphics card and the onboard video? Do you leave the card in when you switch to onboard video?

Could you try switching your power supply from the working machine into the machine that shows no video?

not really, my machine is alot higher spec and would take some time to get it out. I might just put another hard disk in the low spec one and start again and see what happens.

I doubt it is your hard disk, since you cannot even see a bios. That narrows it down for me to hardware that includes your motherboard and power supply.

I hadnt got finished doing all the updates and installing all the drivers for the other parts in the pc. I am almost certain it is going into windows as the hard drive is active for a while. I am guessing in the 2nd lot of updates bout 100 of them one of them caused the issue but I have no way of verifying which one. I am not hearing any of the beeps though.
