    Bsod Geforce 9500 GT

Hi guys, after a extensive search on internet, include this forum i dont know what to do.

I have a Geforce 9500gt with latest drivers instaled and i got bsod from time to time.

The video starts to fail and crashes.

Appears to be related to time i used the pc, so if i turn off for a hour itīs hold for a long time, maybe a hour or so before crashs again.

The fan seems to work right my psu is 200w but since i use pci-e i guess itīs enough, can i be wrong?

my card works well for about a month before starts to crash and i do nothing diferent that can cause this.

from my research i learn thatīs a good chance to be hardware related, but i wan to be sure before try to chance the video card.

i read a lot about this and dont find a solution yet, i hope you guys can help me.

i search about and find nothing but i use win vista home premium if i break some rule about be just win seven sorry, but this forum seems to be only one that can do something.

i run the win nt6 but i canīt do perform in start, perhaps to be in safe mode?

    win vista 64bits
    the original instaled
    oem
    2 years hardware
    2 years of OS
    video card is 2 months

    There are several problems

1-sptd.sys a file associated with daemon tools and alcohol almost always causes BSOD's

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
    [/quote]
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

    Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

2-Your video driver is constantly trying to be re-set (bugcheck 116) Usually a video driver video card or psu.

    remove and replace the driver

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

3-the obvious cause for all these was the video driver

    BugCheck 116, {fffffa80027e2370, fffffa6002332e64, 0, 2}

Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2

    1 and 2 done

I still got the same problem.

about 2 i forgot to mention that i already do that, when i install the last version (i downloades today) my pc is total free of any driver of nvidia

about the attempt to reset, in fact the pc can reset two or three times before bsod.

so i have the last driver, and del the sptd do you need another report from crash?

So after searching a little more i learn that the error in bsod is video tdr error. this error is better explained here

this error can be hard or software related and is a pain to find what is.

after few hours looking for evidence of hardware error i look in this link and in fix one wich is remove the hotfix KB952287 my card appears to be funcion normal. i run a stress test and itīs ok.

ty zigzag your post give a direction for where to look.

Exactly as I said below. Did you remove stpd.sys, etc?
