Hard Disk making Windows 7 Crash?

    Just so I am sure:

    What type of drives do you have? e.g. Primary is SATA, Secondary is IDE.

    Primary is SATA, secondary is ATA but through a SATA cable. They've run fine like this for almost a year now. However the secondary is my old Primary so it's at least 4-5 years old if not more.

    Darn, I forgot my line of thought, the reason why I asked about your drive setup!

    Anyway, try reversing the ports, the cables are attached to. Also make sure the SATA-PATA adapter is securely attached.
