furthest i can go back is 9th ov this month .....
seems to have fixed the connection problem =)
but am still getting the failed to connect to a windows service error message unless i disable the windows audio endpoint builder

have checked the device manager and there is no yellow warning symbols

just seems odd .... if i leave it enabled i have sound .. just means the task bar returns to a basic xp task bar

yet if i disable it the error message goes and the task bar returns to that of windows 7 ... just means i cant have sound

My advice would be to have the sound, the taskbar is just eye candy. In the meantime your post is here, others may come by and if I think of anything I will help.
