    Bluescreen cause??

Hope I've done this right now.
And would you like a good laugh? I just realised what BSOD stands for... yeah, right, I know, dumb female. Enjoy.
Let me know if I've done something incorrectly or left anything out ok.

    Running:
    Windows 7 Professional x64
    OS: full retail. Reinstalled once.
OS & PC both 9mths old.

    Hi guys,
I've now had 3 bluescreens. What is the solution to the error report below? Is there in fact anything I can do? I don't understand these things at all and hope that a solution can be found so I don't have anymore of them.
I wish I could tell you what I was doing at the time, but I'm afraid I can't remember, I do believe that I was using Corel PSP X3 and/or Photoshop CS4.
Otherwise my system seems to be working fine and stats are good.
    Thanks guys
    Regards, Willow

Yes, you did. I looked at all three of your dumps. All indicate memory corruption.

To begin your troubleshooting I recommend that you uninstall McAfee using this removal tool: Tool. McAfee is a well known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. It is shown as being involved in your crashes. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. Make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

I also find two outdated drivers loaded on yoursystem; one is really obsolete. Update these drivers.
gdrv.sys Thu Mar 12 23:22:29 2009 -GIGABYTE Tools - Windows (R) Server 2003 DDK driver; belongs to EasySaver. Uninstall Easy Saver.

GVTDrv64.sys Tue Sep 05 03:10:02 2006 - Gigabyte EasyTune6 driver (known issues w/Win7) http://www.gigabyte.us/Support/Mothe...lity_List.aspx. This is XP software; it is not going to work with Win 7. Uninstall Easytune.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff880024d3f04, The address that the exception occurred at
    Arg3: fffff88004dcf9d8, Exception Record Address
    Arg4: fffff88004dcf240, Context Record Address

    NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (24)
If you see NtfsExceptionFilter on the stack then the 2nd and 3rd
parameters are the exception record and context record. Do a .cxr
on the 3rd parameter and then kb to obtain a more informative stack
        trace.

Uninstall McAfee and uninstall Easy Saver and Easy tune. Reboot and let's see how your system runs. Update us and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload the dump and we will go from there.

One question before I go further, I purchased McAfee 2010 for close to $200. I will contact them and relate the issue to them and see what they have to say.
I've uninstalled Easy Saver and Easy tune, will let you know how it all goes, thank you hun
    Fingers crossed.

McAfee has a really bad reputation as of late on Win 7, Vista, and XP. It is really not good software. I think you will continue to have problems with it. I am sorry you made the investment; perhaps with the McAfee's help, you can get it to work with Win 7. I would definitely not renew when your license expires. You can do a search here and find many, many comments on McAfee. If it were my computer, I would chalk the $200.00 up as an expensive lesson learned and get McAfee off of my system.

hmm, I will definately see what McAfee has to say, and keep your advice in forethought.
When it all comes down to the final results, then what must go to keep my PC working and reliable, then as you say, I'll consider it an expensive lesson learned.
    Thanks hun

You are welcome. We want to see your system running smoothly without a Blue Screen Of Death. :). Don't feel bad, I did not know the acronym the first time I heard many years ago. Please let us know what McAFee says and, if they have a work around that really works, let us know. It could help other posters.

IMO you might want to speak with McAfee and see what is their solution if there is a fix of some sort please post it here i would help others. Because i would like to know if there is something they are doing to fix these we see lot of BSOD's now a days with McAfee etc. They can't just eat our money and do nothing.

    Just my opinion !
