Just cleaned- Now random freezes

I just got back from a 1month vacation and my case was pretty dusty when I got back. I got a can of compressed air, removed the cpu heatsink, graphics card, hard drives and fans and blew everything out. When I booted it up after, I'm getting these random freezes that last at most about 2 secs. If I'm listening to music, it'll get "scratchy" when the freezes occur. Any suggestions on what might be the issue?

Thanks for those hints. Although they didn't seem to do the trick, I was still able to clean up some malware!

Anyway, I believe the issue may be hardware related. I don't notice the small freezes until I start up a program which uses a lot of memory both system and graphics. When I log in to WoW I notice it the most, they happn every 5-30 secs. Could there be some type of disruption within the RAM, Graphics Card, cpu or hd's?

Best not to guess. Try a clean boot. You may even be able to fix the problem
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

It could be that your machine does not have the capablity of running wow.
Play wow during the clean boot to see if the problem can be rectified.

Hate to bump this up, but just wanted to update the fact I fixed the problem. It was an overheating issue. After staring at Speedfan and my BIOS H/W monitor, I noticed my cpu running hot... Very hot, between 70 and 95 degrees celcius haha. But I couldnt figure out why it was. But after taking it apart for the fifth time today, I realized the screws holding the heatsink base plate on were loose so it wasnt making great contact. Amateur move on my part.

I've noticed recently that my laptop gets up to 70C according to CoreTemp and that's when i'm using my Power Saving GPU on my Power Saving Performance setting, which is just plain ridiculous. It never used to be like that. I've had my laptop since September 2010 and i've never cleaned it. Is it...

Have you cleaned you pc lately?
I purchased my Dell Vostro about 3 years ago. It has an Intel Dual Core E6550 2.33Mhz CPU. I loaded Speccy a few months ago and recently noticed that the CPU temp was about 50 C. I also noted the case fan switching to the high speed more frequently. Hmmm... I pulled the side of the mini-tower...
