    Sleep Problems Brand new computer

I haven't bareboned my computer at all, it was brand new and still when it resumes from sleep mode, USB doesn't seem to function. My mouse and keyboard don't work and I cannot even log on. I have to force shut down. Does anyone have any advice that they might share with me? I love the sleep option because I hate shutting down and reloading.

I have tried that to no avail. The problem is the mouse and keyboard don't function when I resume, though I see the keyboard light is on at first (it is how i wake it up from sleep), then it turns off, and both devices don't work so I cannot even enter my password. They are both USB perhaps I could use ps/2 to narrow it down a bit further to the cause, and... forgive me the very late post

I have a Gigabyte Motherboard and I wonder if a program installed by that company is the problem for USB. I have "On_Off Charge B10.0422.2 installed that deals with USB and I have USB 3.0. Don't know if this helps at all.

Well, I just tested S1 sleep and it works perfectly, so I found that my only problem is S3 hybrid sleep. I don't understand why hybrid sleep isn't working, anyone know anything about this?

From the welcome screen, I was able to make my computer enter hybrid sleep and wake successfully.

I went to the last website you gave me and followed the steps to the letter. I think the only thing I changed was setting a time for hibernation, but it seems to be working and I can resume from hybrid sleep now. it takes about 8 seconds, but its faster than the long wait for the welcome screen that my computer undergoes after boot.
    i appreciate it, rich

ps is there a way to make this post claim "solved"?

    Thank you for reporting
Click the icon upper right that looks like a triangle and then type solved.
