Usually a corrupt installation causes an application crash; but it can cause a system crash and a BSOD. If you think that your Starcraft installation is corrupt, uninstall it and reinstall it.
i had uninstall and reinstall the game like 6 times but still nothing works for me,still the game is playable but the corruption crash make crazy sometimes ..i even followed some instructions on how to fix the prblem from websites..might be harddisk but im not sure about this..thats why im asking at several forums
I think your problem is RAM to the errors showing in Memtest. Get your RAM problem fixed and then you will be able to tell if you have additional problems.
thx again carl, but may i know what could cause error for my ram, eg. low voltage or maybe there some other factors to consider
Zan, if you need help with your RAM, let me know. There are some gurus here who are really knowledgeable about RAM. I am not one of them; but I would be glad to ask them to look at this thread.
hi carl, here i have attached is corrupt errors from starcraft2.can u translate the errors that could be the cause for this.anyway this week im gonna 1 to 1 exchange my ram for a new tested one and see if any problems still arise again..u and most of the crews here in window 7 forum had been a great help to me,i will carry on posting if there are any doubts and what not, thanks again :)
I would completely uninstall Starcraft and reinstall it from scratch. However, I suggest you wait until you solve the RAM problem before you install it. And you are very welcome for the help.
hi carl, now i had exchange my ram for a new tested one and now i had this blue screen which shows ntfs.dll trying to write a read only memory or something like that.thx
Run Memtest again from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a while. Post back with your results.
Run CheckDisk.
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.
Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"
CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).
Copy/paste the results into your next post.
