bsod bcc 50

Hi everyone,

I was hoping you could help. I installed win7 on a 3 yr old laptop that previously had Vista on it. I installed win 7 enterprise x64 from scratch. I got a BSOD on the synaptics driver, so I updated that and it seems to have fixed that problem. Now I am getting BSOD on something else. I suspect the video drivers but I am not sure. Can you please take a look at the attached files and let me know what the debugger says.

Hi Larry,
Yes you right, the latest dmp blame on atikmdag.sys as the cause. It seems your ati driver also outdated so I would recommend you to update that driver.
While update, better to remove current driver with driversweeper then install the latest ati drivers.
Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

Perform system file checker:
Right click Command Prompt -> run as admin -> sfc /scannow

Update these drivers:
Code:
FwLnk.sys Sun Nov 19 06:11:04 2006 --> Toshiba Firmware Linkage service system driver
atikmdag.sys Mon Dec 01 13:04:09 2008 --> ATI Video driver
agrsm64.sys  Mon Nov 10 07:01:35 2008 --> Agere Systems Soft Modem

Thanks Wish and Carl. I'll go look for an updated ATI driver. I already updated the synaptics driver and it appears to be behaving.

update

As of tonight, my system has been stable. However it is really slow, actually, it has been slow since I installed x64. I have discovered that the system has a lot of interrupts. somewhere between 6000 and 30,000 per second. That's a lot more than any of my other machines.

So now I am trying to diagnose the source of this. So far I have upgraded the bios to the latest and have upgraded as many of the drivers as I can find on the Toshiba support site.

Any ideas how to find the source of these interrupts?

I am glad to hear your system is stable. That is good news. I suggest you start a thread and post your questions about the interrupts in Hardware & Devices - Windows 7 Forums. You will get some really good help there.
