BSOD crash

I recently re-formatted my pc, so i'm fairly surprised to be getting BSOD's already,
My computer is about 6 months old, its a HP pavillion, running windows 7 home premium, 6.1.7600 Build 7600, x64, 6.00GB RAM etc etc
I have no idea what to look for in a minidump, so if anyone could help me out, i'd be very grateful, here it is:
Attachment 118916
p.s. This was no normal BSOD crash, about a second after the bluescreen, the left half of my screen had a 'pixel by pixel' style crash, fairly worrying stuff...

Hi, Bredrin, and welcome to the forum. Sorry you are having a problem. Let's see if we can help. Your dump directly blames a device driver, HssDrv.sys. This driver belongs Hotspot Shield. Hotspot Shield seems to be causing problems for a lot of folks. Many third party security programs do not work with Win 7 due to Win 7's own built in security measures. I recommend that you uninstall Hotspot Shield. You might want to read this blog: Gadgets Review: Hssdrv.sys causing blue screen error.

Next uninstall Daemon Tools. It uses a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Select uninstall; do NOT select reinstall.

Here is a free alternative CD virtualization program that does not use the sptd.sys driver.
Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

Uninstall Norton/Symantec using this removal tool:
Tool. Norton is a documented cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. After you get your system stable, you can try it again; but I do not recommend doing so. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

Follow these three suggestions, reboot and lets see how your system runs. Update us and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there.

Good job and thanks for updating us. My preferred method is to remove all possible causes, make sure my system is stable, and than add things back one at a time, running the system a few days before adding the next one. Norton works fine on some Win 7 systems and it may work on yours. I suspect it was the combination of Norton, Hotspot Shield, and Daemon Tools. Hotspot Shield has been popping up more frequently lately causing trouble for folks.

Post back in about three days and update us. I hope the update will be good news!
