Bluescreen after connecting xbox 360 controller

    I dont use the vso program would it be ok if I just uninstalled it ? Also the I don't sue the via card anymore could I uninstall that drive ? Is so how would I take care of the via driver ?

    Certainly, uninstall VSO; that should eliminate the driver. To check on the driver, using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers. See if you can find the driver. If it is there, rename it from .sys to .old. Uninstall your VIA card through Device Manager. See if the driver is still there; if it is, rename it as previously described.

    Same BSOD Problem with Xbox 360 Controller


    I have tried to install the driver before plugging in the controller, but when the system is searching for the device and configuring it, the machine will crash into a BSOD.
    I have attached the zipped Minidump as a post said to do earlier.

    I had Daemon tools installed as well, but I took the steps to uninstall and delete the drivers mentioned in earlier posts.
