    AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! User Profile Services Failure


    Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie on here who is deaperate for some help with my samsung r530 which has suddenly decided not to accept my log on details. I've tried a basic restore which didn't help. I can't understand what has gone wrong as I used the computer earlier this evening with no problems, haven't upgraded anything or done anything different to usual. How do I repair???, in simple terms please as I am not the most bright of computer users!! thanks in advance, debbie

    Hello, and welcome to SF!

    I suggest that you start out with a RAM test: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Also, test the hard drive with SeaTools: | Seagate

    You'll have to use the DOS version.

    Hi Jonathon, thanks for that but how do I do those tests if I can't log on?? I'm having to use my daughters laptop to view these pages....

    You would have to create bootable Memtest and SeaTools CDs with your daughter's laptop.

    Here is the DOS version for SeaTools: SeaTools for DOS | Seagate

    Here is a guide to create a Memtest86 CD or USB drive: RAM - Test with Memtest86+
