So, sorry it's been a while but I thought I'd update;

I changed out my RAM, the ADATA stuff I had was rubbish. I got G.Skills in the end. They tested ok in Memtest. I am having a couple of other issues being dealt with elsewhere but I guess this thread is finished now. Thanks for the help SledgeDG. Much appreciated.

you're very welcome. Faulty hardware it's just that...... You can tweak and and mess around all you want it's not helping

Ive tried a few tuts and nothing has worked for me. My mini can boot usb hdd already. if i have it formatted as fat/32 it says please remove all removable media.
