    BSOD

i'm getting BSOD errors frequently the BC codes are

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 7f
    BCP1: 0000000000000008
    BCP2: 0000000080050033
    BCP3: 00000000000006F8
    BCP4: FFFFF8000367DBD0
    OS Version: 6_1_7600
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 768_1

Bluescreen viewer is telling me its ntoskrnl.exe causing the errors but i was hoping there might be alternative solutions to doing a repair. I attached the DMP file from the lastest event in a winrar zip file. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, speedie, and welcome to the forum. Sorry you are having problems. I looked at your three most recent dumps and all are the same error code, 7F. The dumps blame Windows systems drivers, which are very likely not the real cause.

McAfee was involved in all three crashes and McAfee is a known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I recommend that you uninstall McAfee using this removal tool: Tool. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in it place and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on.

You have some outdated drivers loaded on your system. The ones in red font are really obsolete. Older drivers can and do cause BSOD's. Update these drivers from the links provided starting with the oldest.
