    Help debugging these bsod files

Hi, Please could someone help debug the bellow bsod dump files.

The system i'm running is Q6660 at 2.4gz standard, 4GIG Crucial Ballastix DDR2 standard voltage (new)nvidia450 - think this could be the cause and EVGA 750I sli ftw motherboard.

My system has ran flawlessly for over a year but recently i changed graphics cards - i'm not sure if this is the problem - i've uninstalled avg as reading forums this can cause problems with windows 7.

    Any help would be greatful

Hi Frazer and welcome to the forum. We would like more information than the dumps provide. Please read this thread, follow the instructions and post back. We will be glad to help you.

    In the meantime,
please uninstall any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dump, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

Here is a free alternative CD virtualization program that does not use the sptd.sys driver.

You have come outdated drivers loaded on your system. Those in red font are really obsolete. Old drivers can and do cause conflicts, memory corruption and BSOD's. Update these drivers from the links provided.

    UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
    If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
            use .trap on that value
    Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
    Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.

Hi, Frazer; sorry to hear you are still having problems. I see something in your latest dump that I did not see previously. Download and install Revo Uninstaller (free). Use Revo to completely uninstall Trusteer Rapport. Rapport has a reputation for causing problems on some Win 7 systems. Many third party security programs conflict with Win 7's own internal security coding. Here is some reading on the subject:

MPECS Inc. Blog: Windows 7 BSODs – RapportPG64.sys is the Culprit

I cannot say Rapport caused the crash. Your dump blames a Windows system core file, ntkrnlmp.exe, which is highly unlikely to be the real cause. What you want to do is to eliminate any and all potential BSOD causes. Troubleshooting is a process of elimination.

I still see sptd.sys loaded on your system. It is an almost guaranteed BSOD maker.

I also find these outdated drivers loaded on your system.

    How to find drivers -
    - I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page:
    Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page:
    Drivers and Downloads

To update a driver, find the driver on the manufacturer's website and download it to your desktop. Unzip the folder to a folder on your desktop. Open the new folder. If there is an .exe file, click on it and it will install the driver. if there is no .exe file, you will have to use Device Manager. Open Device Manager and locate the device associated with the driver you are updating. Right click on that device and click on Properties. Now click on the Driver tab. Click on the Update driver button and select Browse my computer for driver software. Using Browse, navigate to the appropriate folder on your desktop.

Follow all of the above suggestions, reboot and see how your system does. Please post back and let us know. If you need help with the drivers, please post. If you get another BSOD, upload it.
