    Windows 7 Charger issue

Ok so im using my laptop on a regular day and when i moved it closed down. I didnt know why but when i removed the charger and replugged it, it didnt work. I am currently using a windows 7 DV4 laptop. Ive been using it for about a year and for this month it hasnt been working. My warranty has also just expired. Can someone tell me or help find a way to fix my laptop charger or if its my laptop problem?

Sounds more like your battery. If your charger came loose or unplugged, it should stay on as it resorts to battery power.

If you don't have a battery, well, I think the solution's obvious.

If you DO have a battery, leaving it plugged in all the time actually wears out the battery much faster because a current is ALWAYS flowing in one side of the battery and out the other (so to speak). So, use it for what it was designed for once in a while keeps its shelf life from swimming down the toilet.

Pop out your battery and plug in your charger. If it works, that's fantastic.

If it's your AC ADAPTER that's not working (regardless if the battery is good or not... it won't provide power to the laptop), hit up your manufacturer (in this case, HP) and order a new one.
