    Kernel-Power BSoD

    Hi,

I've formatted my pc a few time over the last couple months but after the last time I have had two BSoDs.

One happened while I was using XBMC and the other happened last night while I was updating my BFBC2 game, the two are about a week apart.

*Critical Kernel-Power Event ID 41 Task Cat. 63

    BugcheckCode 127
    BugcheckParameter1 0x8
    BugcheckParameter2 0x80050031
    BugcheckParameter3 0x6f8
    BugcheckParameter4 0xfffff80002aa25c9
    SleepInProgress false
    PowerButtonTimestamp 0

I have attached the files you asked for in the sticky.

    Hope you can help me.

    Tnx

    1. sptd.sys:
Remove all CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%. They use a file "sptd.sys" which is notorious for BSOD. Use this tool when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads

    2. Update Drivers:
    speedfan.sys Mon Sep 25 02:26:48 2006
    ASACPI.sys Mon Mar 28 15:30:36 2005
    ASACPI.sys - ASUS Motherboard.
You may Google for the ASACPI.sys Driver. There is none in ASUS Website.

    Speedfan.sys - Speedfan Software
Update the software or uninstall the software.

If you update those two drivers, uninstalled Daemon Tools/Alcohol 120% and removed sptd.sys with the DuplexSecure Utility then the problem should be fixed.
