    Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
       #11

Thanks for the uploads. I looked at your four most recent dumps. All of them point to memory corruption and drivers issues. Out of date drivers can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. I find the following outdated drivers loaded on your system. Those in red font are really obsolete. Update these drivers through the links provided or install the software or hardware they are associated with. Software and hardware designed for XP and not updated for Win 7 are not going to run on Win 7.

    How to find drivers -
    - I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page:
    Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page:
    Drivers and Downloads

To update a driver, find the driver on the manufacturer's website and download it to your desktop. Unzip the folder to a folder on your desktop. Open the new folder. If there is an .exe file, click on it and it will install the driver. if there is no .exe file, you will have to use Device Manager. Open Device Manager and locate the device associated with the driver you are updating. Right click on that device and click on Properties. Now click on the Driver tab. Click on the Update driver button and select Browse my computer for driver software. Using Browse, navigate to the appropriate folder on your desktop.

Take of these drivers either update them or uninstalling the software. Reboot and let's see how your system does. Post back and let us know. If you get another BSOD, upload it and we will go from there.

    UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
    If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
            use .trap on that value
    Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
    Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
    Arg2: 0000000080050031

    CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION (109)
This bugcheck is generated when the kernel detects that critical kernel code or
data have been corrupted. There are generally three causes for a corruption:
    1) A driver has inadvertently or deliberately modified critical kernel code
     or data. See http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/driver/kernel/64bitPatching.mspx
    2) A developer attempted to set a normal kernel breakpoint using a kernel
debugger that was not attached when the system was booted. Normal breakpoints,
"bp", can only be set if the debugger is attached at boot time. Hardware
breakpoints, "ba", can be set at any time.
    3) A hardware corruption occurred, e.g. failing RAM holding kernel code or data.

    I think I know why I'm BSOD'ing now!

When I installed my new motherboard, I didn't/haven't remove/d the chipset drivers. But I don't know how to un-install as I it isn't in 'Uninstall a program'. Would it be 'nVidia Drivers'?

What chipset does your new motherboard have?

My old motherboard was a old nForce 430 AM2.

My new one is a AMD 790GX.

Create a restore point; this is important. Then use Driver Sweeper to sweep the nVidia drivers. You can also rename them from .sys to .old and reboot.

I tried Driver Sweeper, and deleted some other old nVdia drivers (I saw a tut on another website) but still not to sucess. It is hapenning far less often now though.

My last resort is to re-install Windows, but what would happen if I get a BSOD whilst installing? :S

And isn't there a way to revery back to default/(factory) settings, like a restore point from when you just installed Windows?

Have you eliminated or updated those obsolete drivers?

Yup. But I'm still pretty sure it can only be old motherboard drivers

EDIT: And I just uninstalled AMD's dual core optimizer. I'm also looking for other crap I no longer need.

Thanks Carl, I really appriciate your help!

I have run all of the above a few days ago, but however I cannot find the files to delete for Screamingbee, which I used a few months ago as a voice changer.

For about 3 days, I had no BSOD's so I assumed the best. But unfortunately, I just had another 4 BSOD's over the course of 5 minutes

    Thanks in advance!!!

    (Dumps are coming)
