    Random Crash Bsod


    Just wanted to see if someone can help me out and let me know whats going on. The system crashes for no apparent reason sometimes with a bsod sometimes just reboots.
    Windows 7 x64
    Full Retail
    System is 6 months old
    OS is 2 months old

    Pool_corruption caused by a driver blbdrive.sys. Blbdrive is a volume (HD) driver from vista and I would rename it blbdrive.bak to prevent it from loading. If that breaks something you can always rename it back

    Just in case I would also run a memory test to validate yours

    Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.


    Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.


    I would also remove your avast av and replace it with Microsoft security essentials.
