Win7 x64 BSODs - Dell L501X - Full diagnostics
Hi,
I have been experiencing random BSODs on my 40 day old Dell L501X laptop. Original OEM Windows 7 Business 64bit install. i7 CPU, 6Gb RAM, 640Gb HDD, very few programs installed. The system has BSODed 7 times so far, with 3 happening in the last 2 days. It appears to be random: the system BSODed when I was using a web browser (Firefox), another time it crashed at 6am when no one was using it. No obvious pattern exists. Just mIRC, Firefox, Thunderbird, and TrueCrypt in use.
The BSODs always have the same basic details: 0x0000007f (0x0000000000000008, 0x0000000080050031, 0x00000000000006f8, 0xfffff8000327e09b)
It's always 7f, and the first two numbers are the same.
The system has passed several runs on Memtest86+. I've downloaded and run Dell's diagnostics disc. Memory test is fine. The quick test did hang once, and subsequently has been run many times without problems.
As per the BSOD posting guidelines, full system details are attached to this post.
I would very much appreciate help with this BSOD, as it makes the system awful to use (you never know when it's going to go dead) and Dell don't want to touch it as Dell diagnostic CD says it's fine.
Thank you
