one of our Video experts just came online & I ask him to look at this thread

Hold on yourself, I just started it up and it worked and the video drives up to date, might just be a one off. I'll restart and see. Wish me luck!

Weirdly enough, the thing I least likely expected to work, worked.. I have 2 ports in my monitor, 1 for the VGA and 1 for the blue one (Not sure what its called.. fail.) It's always been unplugged (However it worked the first time I tried the computer without it, weird.) I plugged it in, restarted, started window normal (no safe mode) and it worked like a charm. I just restarted then to check if it was just a lucky start up, but nope it worked again. I'll be sure to contact back here if I get any more freezes (Might not just be my graphics card, all we can do is hope that its fixed!)

I just want to thank everyone who posted in the last few hours to help me. Doc, I wana thank you personally for taking your time to help a newbie with a ****ing annoying error. Thanks alot, and I mean that.

Even this has me puzzled. From what I understand it will work with the drivers Windows installs and it is only when you try to install drivers driectly from Nvidia you get the crashing?

Their seems to be quite a few GTS 450 crashing problems listed on google. They suggest trying the 260.89 or 260.99 driver http://downloads.guru3d.com/GeForce-...load-2634.html
Do the whole uninstall driver sweeper deal then install.
Ok so what I just read it sounds like you have 2 VGA ports and one is bad.
VGA is Blue, DVI is White, HDMI is just a slot.

It didn't even work with the windows updates until I plugged the second cable into my monitor.. Lol weird huh. It crashed 1-2 times when running normal mode after installing the windows updates. I plugged the blue cable into my graphics card/monitor and boom, worked. Just hope it doesn't crash later on.

I have 4 possible plugins for my monitor. Power and 3 cables. I plugged a vga in and blah blah all that stuff. I plugged a blue one in (Sorry don't know the name) and it worked. Both of them are currently plugged in.
