    funny thing was Acer UK, wanted me to send the PC back to them for repair, when i asked to talk to a technician they just kept saying the unit needed going in for repair!! grrrr!

    so it would of come back unfixed!!

    Thanks so much guys! was really getting at me, with what the issue was, I will see bout going back to ZA

    Easy to tell - go to the properties of tcpip.sys on your system (it's in %windir%\system32\drivers) and if the product version listed on the details tab is 6.1.7600.20719 or higher, you have the hotfix installed.
