    bsod atikmdag.sys


    Hello, i recently upgraded my motherboard M3A78-EM to GA-880GM-UD2H and RAM Trascend 4096MB 1333 DDR3 x2 "8 GB"

    I made a fresh OS Install of Windows 7 RTM 7600, and installed the latest ATI drivers 10.12 on my GPU MSI HD 5770.

    When im afk, for some unknown reason my computer get a BSOD from atikmag.sys many times, and i cant figure out.

    I tested Kombustor for 12 hours, w/o problems. not OCed

    Tested memtest for 10 hours w/o errors

    Tested HD Tune Pro stability test for 12 hours w/o errors

    Tested AMD Overdrive stability test for 12 Hours w/o errors. not OCed

    But still getting this BSOD problem in unknown times.

    I use 3 screens, using the eyefinity technology

    (in my older motherboard used the same ATI Catalyst drivers 10.12 with AMD Overdrive Fan at 100% speed w/o any problems)

    My PC specs:

    AMD Phenom II 955BE@3.2 ~ Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H ~ Trascend Jm1333KLM-4G x2 ~ MSI Radeon HD 5700 1024MB ddr5 ~ Samsung HD321KJ 300GB, Samsung HD103SJ 1TB ~ SO: Windows 7 x64 RTM 7600 ~ Thermal Take TR2 600W ~ Antec 900.

    After downgrade 10.12 ATI drivers to 10.11, in the past of 48 hours, i never got other BSOD, is strange.. in my other motherboard didn't got this problem.

    That is not as strange as you might think. It happens with both ATI and nVidia drivers. I had to go to the third or fourth driver down the list to get my nNvidia graphics card to work properly. Sometimes the latest and greatest are not always the best.
