    bsod: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE randomly


    Hey guys!

    First let me tell you a huge thanks for this great forum, I learned a lot by reading threads.

    I would need help with a nasty bsod DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE !

    It happen very randomly, sometimes nothing for a week and sometimes 3 in one day

    I folowed the instructions here are the informations and files asked:

    Windows 7 x64
    - Dell studio 1749
    - the original installed OS on the system is Win7
    - full retail version

    - What is the age of system: 6 months
    - What is the age of OS installation: 3 months (reinstalled)

    Hello,

    Most of the dumps blame sdbus.sys, a Windows card reader driver. I am wondering of your O2Micro card reader drivers are the true cause, though. Install these updated ones: Drivers and Downloads

    Also, uninstall Daemon Tools, as it is using SPTD. Then remove SPTD with this tool: http://www.duplexsecure.com/download...t-v174-x64.exe

    Avira was blamed by one dump; if that is still installed, remove it with this tool: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

    Replace it with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Hi, Recently (last 2 weeks) my computer has started to BSOD, at first i thought these were as a result of using DC++ as they only seemed to happen when downloading with DC++ but now they seem to happen at random. I'm not sure if the previous BSOD's had the same "Driver_Power_State_Failure" error...
