BSOD After Memory Addition

Hello,

I recently upgraded memory to 6GB, before that it was 2GB with no problems. After memory addition I am having BSODs every now and then. Do you think is there a memory problem.

Graphics: 512MB GeForce 9600 GT (Undefined) 37 °C
Hard Drives:

244GB Seagate ST3250410AS (SATA) 41 °C
244GB Seagate ST3250410AS (SATA) 42 °C
313GB Western Digital WDC WD3200AAKS-00VYA0 (SATA) 35 °C

If you suspect RAM (Which I think is good idea), then why not test it
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

I ran memtest86 for each ram stick separately. I let the test run for one pass and there was no problem when only one ram stick was plugged. But when I plugged all the ram sticks together ([2x1024MB A-DATA EXTREME DDR2 800+] and [2x2048MB A-DATA EXTREME DDR2 1066+]) I start to get errors.

The problem is that you are using two different RAM speeds and types. Try returning the 4GB, and replacing it with this stuff: Newegg.com - A-DATA 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model AD2U800B2G5-DRH

I returned the rams. I think I 'll have a pair of new rams by next week. But this time I'll go for 4gb ddr3 since I have a combo mobo.

Sounds like a good plan. The key is to make sure all the RAM is the same type, speed, etc, and meets or exceeds the minimum speed the motherboard can handle.
