Windows freezing constantly for 30 seconds at a time! Frustrating!

Ever since I have upgraded to Windows 7 on my computer, I have had problems with it freezing constantly! Its not a complete freeze, but it will freeze for an average of 30 seconds, every minute or so. This is really getting to be a pain in the you know what! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think you have 1 program hoggng up the cpu. do a alt-control delete and see whats running and find the program thats using the cpu.

With only 1 GB of ram and onboard graphics with 128mb on board,...your machine really isn't going to perform well with Windows 7, you would be better off with the MCE 2005 that it came with, just my opinion... :)

Is the hard drive light lit up during the freezing?
I put windows 7 Home premium 32bit on an old Dell P4 2.8ghz with onboard video and 1gb of memory and it ran fine.

Yeah the hard drive light is lit up when it goes into those funks. I've had the task manager open during the freezes and the percentage stays relatively low. Around 10-15% usage. The computer seems smooth enough to handle windows 7. When its not frozen, it runs really nice!
