ummm, no, i don't think this has any bearing

the overclock is set by me manually using ati overdrive in catalyst, and only for gaming as required; it is also with the fan set to 60% as part of the manual config and i haven't exceeded mid 60's celsius despite hours of carnage in ut3, as monitored by gpuz

overclocking has never been active when i have gotten a bsod, and again, this only crashes during playing embedded video at stock

so, can you help me, or do i just avoid embedded video ?

it is obvious to me that ntoskrnl is a problem; is it possible to simply replace the .exe or .dll from the win 7 installation disk (or other source) ?

thanks for your help so far, but not overclocking until the last few days has returned exactly the same bsod situation for a few weeks since i first posted

Hello,

I apologize - I am a really busy student. School is about to start from Christmas/New Years holiday.

Glad you found the culprit (zone alarm) - hope the BSOD goes away!

Regards...
