The link that Jonathan had suggested should explain everything about how to use Driver Verifier for BSOD.

indeed

so forcing ntoskrnl had me consistently bluescreen almost immediately after log on as the drivers loaded i expect

is that useful ? - i have no idea where any info from running the verifier might be contained

more instructions welcome

i have restored using the repair disc, and am as (un)stable as before i became totally unstable

Driver Verifier is used to stress the drivers to crash the system into a BSOD in hopes of pinpoint the faulting driver ... the dump files created by the new BSOD crashes will assist us to determine what is happening, and how to resolve it.. You need to upload the new .dmp files for analysis...

hopefully this will help, although the zip file reported an error

in that event, is a rar file acceptable ?

Rar is fine too; we can do either. Zip is easier for me, but the difference between that and RAR is about 3 seconds.

Uninstall ATI Tray Tools; that was the cause of the Verifier_Enabled dump. Hopefully that alone will do the trick; if not, enable verifier again and post any new reports.

bummer, i like tray tools but may have to settle for afterburner as catalyst and i seem to have some issues with stable installs (the bespoke win install notwithstanding)

do i retest anyway, or wait for my next bluescreen ?

You can just wait for the next bluescreen to occur on its own; hopefully there will be none!
