Windows 7: BSoDs especially when gaming - Random

BSoDs especially when gaming - Random

So I'm having random BSoDs of different reasons. Some are presented below.

DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
BAD_POOL_DATA
Trying to write read-only data
etc. etc.

Also, Modern Warfare 2 seems to be crashing sooner or later.
And one more thing, my HDD is like grounding beans of sumthing after boot-up.

Ran memtest+86 one pass without errors. Updated essential drivers. Running checkdisk atm.

Windows 7 is . . .
- x64
- It's the original OS
- I think it's OEM
- Built myself on late October 2010
- Installed once right after building

1. Uninstall Avast and replace it with MSE:

http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

https://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

2. Uninstall nVidia overclocking utility:

nvoclk64.sys Tue Sep 15 17:59:25 2009

3. Update Logitech Webcam Software:

lvuvc64.sys Wed Oct 07 04:28:44 2009

If BSODs persist after the updates, attach CPU-Z tabs "memory" and "spd" for each slot.

Run memtest 10 passes overnight www.memtest.org

@WingsOfFreedom, let us bsod supporters decide what is and what "ain't" so essential. Your 2 previous crash dumps were corrupted, so some more info including your current drivers list was in fact essential.

Ok,

thanks for attaching the CPU-Z. From that I can tell that the sticks are identical BUT the settings are WRONG: they are currently set 850Mhz while they should be ddr667Mhz.

Enter bios to load setup defaults to get the RAM settings automatically adjusted to these values:

Frequency - 1333Mhz (DDR667x2)
Timings - 9-9-9-24
Voltage - 1.50v

After you load setup defaults, re-attach the MEMORY tab (only).

The OC utillity has been removed.
But do you mean that I have to set the FBS (Now 255, default 200) to default and that way undo all overclocks? Because my RAM multiplier is set to AUTO.

And I didnt mean to decide what is essential, but I'd rather not put the game in the first place to be done

I mean your RAM is currently set 850Mhz, while it's designed to run at 667Mhz (1333Mhz effective cuz its ddr). Wrong memory settings often cause crashes. 1 safe way to set them right is to load setup defaults in the bios - setup defaults for all hardware.

Random BSODs mainly while gaming, occasionally on desktop
Hi, had this problem for a few months now, either BSODs or crash to desktop while gaming (consistently will crash when gaming but could be after 10 mins or 2 hours. Doesn't need user input, will eventually crash if left alone), or performing multiple tasks in Windows (might be browsing on Chrome,...

Windows 7 x64 Random BSODs ONLY WHEN NOT GAMING - Please help!
Hi all, for about a year I keep getting random BSODs, ever since I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have tried to diagnose them, but I'm really new to this and haven't managed to find out what's wrong. Ever since I installed a new graphics card, I keep getting "black screens of death"...
