Windows 7: another BSOD after re-installing w7

thanks Carl for helping me through this mess :)

it's all still running fine atm, though i don't know how much time i will be spending on that pc this week. that's because my parents are divorced, and this week i'm at my dad's (they still live just 0.5 miles away from eachother, which is very nice, so i could still play on whichever pc i like =D).

anyway, on a side note, when i got up this morning, i wanted to wait for memtest to finish the 10th pass, but after it had tested the "4806mb - 6144mb", it started testing the "6144mb - 7100mb". this i find odd, because i only have 6GB installed, as both BIOS and the memtest app stated. not a real problem, but i am curious about it
does anyone know the answer to why it did that? i exited memtest when it started that btw.

Ten passes without error is a good indication your RAM is OK. The hardware Gurus would have to answer your question about the RAM size. I do know that 6 GB is not 6 GB precisely. Glad your system is running smoothly at present. Keep us posted.
