just got a bsod today after my last post from 2 weeks ago.
i think its still the 0x0000007f
installed the zonealarm patch (which i think thats why i dont get bsod that often anymore)
i have no luck with conexant modem driver though, its website does not have it for win7.

attachment is the new dump file
please take a look and let me know if its got new issues or no

thanks

You are correct; the bugcheck is 7F. The dump blames the Windows Direct X driver, which is very unlikely to be the real cause. Usually this means something is conflicting. What you need to do is find out what is conflicting. My first thought is Zone Alarm and they may be it. But you have installed the hotfix and I see a number of outdated drivers that could cause conflicts. The one in red font is really obsolete. Update or rename the following drivers.

Do you use your modem for dialup or are you on broadband? If you are not on dialup, you can uninstall your modem in device manager. You can also rename those modem drivers. Create a restore point, using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers, locate the driver files, and rename them from .sys to .old. Reboot and the drivers will not load. This will break whatever software or hardware these drivers are associated with.

See if you can update the two Toshiba drivers.

If after eliminating the modem drivers by either uninstalling the modem in Device Manager or by renaming the drivers you still get a BSOD, uninstall Zone Alarm using the removal tool:
http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cpes_clean.exe

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: 0000000080050031
Arg3: 00000000000006f8
