    Sporadic reboots - argh!

    Hi,

    Four times now, I've stepped away from my computer for a few minutes, and come back to find it rebooting after a windows crash! It's never happened while I'm in front of it, apparently a watched pot never boils, so I don't know the exact sequence. The Action Center's been of no help. I'm working in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, factory installed on a 6-mo old Dell refurb laptop.

    If anyone could help diagnose the problems, I'd be very grateful! - I'm uploading the prescribed set of files with this post.

    merci buckets.

    The cause is NETw5s64.sys, your Intel wireless driver
    Update it Intel® Driver Update Utility

    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {fffff880065ff8c0, 2, 0, fffff88005ae0e75}

    Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\NETw5s64.sys, Win32 error 0n2
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NETw5s64.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for NETw5s64.sys
    Probably caused by : NETw5s64.sys ( NETw5s64+30e75 )

    Thanks! I installed a more recent driver, and with some luck all will be smooth sailing.

    FYI, I hit a few snags trying to update the driver. First, the Intel utility thought the driver was up-to-date, and so did Device Manager. But looking through the downloads on Intel's website for my wireless adapter came up with a more recent one, disguised as software+driver bundle. I guess it's Intel that needs to do the updating...
