Random BSOD's

First, thank you for taking time out of your day to even help. Secondly. If I attatched the wrong file just let me know where to go to grab the right information. I'm not exactly a professional. This issue started a week after completion of this build. I suspect the GPU is at fault and have already set up an RMA. Just to be sure (or fix it on arrival of returned GPU) I would like to ask your opinions. I first was getting this error on my task bar: Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered: Display Driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal Mode Driver, Version XXX.XX (whichever I try) Stooped responding and has successfully recovered. I did about everything I can think of, even a fresh install of windows. After the fresh install I started receiving the BSOD's. 4 so far including: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL,PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA,MEMORY_MANAGEMENT,and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. All Event ID 41, Task catagory 63, kernal mode.

I have ran MEMTEST86+ for 6+ passes and Prime95 for 6+passes. Reseated cards, swapped cords, multiple driver attempts. I cannot replicate the issue. Please let mek now if I left anything out.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I looked at your three most recent dumps. All three have differt bug bugcheck codes, which indicates a hardware or hardware related problem, and all three blame memory corruption. Your drivers all appear to be up to date.

If you are overclocking anything, stop and return to default values.

Because all three dumps blame memory corruption, test your RAM with Memtest 86+ following the instructions in this tutorial: RAM - Test with Memtest86+. Run Memtest from a cold boot after your computer has been off for an hour or two. Let it run for a minimum of 7 passes; this will take 6-8 hours. If you see errors, you can stop the test. Post back with your results.

If, and only if Memtest shows no errors, carefully follow this tutorial and enable Driver Verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable. If Verifier finds a faulty driver, it will trigger a BSOD. Upload any and all Driver Verifier enabled dumps.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000000000185a4, memory referenced
Arg2: 0000000000000002, IRQL

    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)

Memtest86+ ran for 20:25:00 completing 10 passes with no errors. Driver Verifier was enabled with recommended settings and I received no BSOD. Awaiting your next advice. I should also mention that EVGA accepted my RMA request for my GTX 460. They stated it is very possible I have an unstable card given my particular errors.

Good news about Memtest. That means your RAM is probably OK. I say "probably" because Memtest, like most hardware tests, is not 100% accurate. But it is a good test. Let Driver Verifier run for about 36 hours of computer use as you use your computer normally. After that you can turn it off.

Really good news about the RMA. Let us know the outcome with the replacement card. You can test your current card with Furmark following the instructions in this tutorial: Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark. Turn Driver Verifier off before you run Furmark. Post back with your results.

Turns out the issue WAS in fact the graphics card. It has since been replaced and running for 3 weeks with no issues. Thank you for your help!

Really sucks that I have to bring this thread back to life. Since the last post my computer had been running fine. Now all of a sudden I am getting the same exact random BSOD's. Page fault, then memory management. I can include the dump if needed but first I would like to ask. Is it possible they gave me ANOTHER bad card? This card has a separate serial number than the last. Also, is it possible the drivers are screwing up the card? I just find it odd that they both lasted the same amount of time and ended up with the same issues.

BSOD at seemingly random times, memory dump blaming random drivers
I've been plagued by odd problems since making this custom build about a month ago, but the latest is the increasing frequency of BSODs.
