BSOD, not so random. Help?

Need more information. What are your computer specs?
Is this a fresh install or did you add it as a partition to your main drive?

Clean install, formatted C drive before installing.

I have one other partition, HP-RECOVERY. Untouchable recovery partition. I didn't touch it when installing Win7 in case I needed it to reinstall XP.

This error is almost always caused by faulty hardware (bad memory etc) or a bad system driver. Could be video, audio or MB driver.

If this has been happeneing since day one of the install, try updating all your drivers one by one from each manufacturers website. and see if it goes away. Hardware errors are harder to detect though. Youcan try swapping your memory around and see if it happens more or less often, if so then bad memory is likely.

If it only started after some time, then go back to a clean install and do the test as you update each driver (video, audio etc) that you may have hand updated to get where you are now.

That makes it less likely but not totally. W7 uses ram more aggressively for caching, it may be making more use of the ram than you normally did with XP.

But most likely is one of the default hardware drivers that is installed is not really compatible with the hardware you are using. The defualt drivers try to be generic and minimalistic as possible to cover the widest range of hardware possible without requiring 50 gigs of storage to do it :)

Updating drivers with the "real" ones from manufacturers web sites might help. (I actually had the reverse with my NIC though heh, had to roll back to the default one)
