Corrupted OS files preventing boot after failed driver update

    A little more info from you would help.

    What messages did you get from running each of the commands?

    All right, so I CAN'T do it again. I think we broke it further.

    My last update was that the problem from the first post is replaced with the "BOOTMGR...." message. And trying the very first step you gave me now doesn't work.

    Bootmgr missing usually means the wrong parrtition is active.

    However, it may be due to corrupted file system in your case.

    Best option - restore your most recent backup image.

    If you haven't got a backup image - reinstall is what you are left with.
