BSOD Kernel crash stuff

Been getting the BSOD Kernel crash on my Notebook for about 2 months now.

I have a Compaq presario CQ61 Notebook. OS Windows 7 6.1.7600 Build 7600 which came with my Notebook and I bought it in April 2010. Never reinstalled anything and is exactly as I bought it.

Im not that tech savvy im afraid so any help you can give me is much appreciated.

I have attached the zipped folder as requested.

It just happens when it idles mostly, very rare it does it when Im doing something.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

Hi, notthenutz, and welcome to the forum. I looked at your three most recent dumps. They are virtually identical. They blame memory corruption and show a hardware error:
ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000185 - The I/O device reported an I/O error.

DISK_HARDWARE_ERROR: There was error with disk hardware
Bugcheck 7A, KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. Usual causes: Memory, Paging file corruption, File system, Hard drive, Cabling, Virus infection, Improperly seated cards, BIOS, Bad motherboard, Missing Service Pack.
In addition, you have a large number of out of date drivers loaded on your system. Some are quite obsolete and are XP drivers. If your computer is still under warranty, you might consider having it checked by a technician. If you open up the machine to check the cable connections, for example, it may void your warranty.

If you wish to do some of the testing changes yourself, here are the steps I recommend.

1. Run CheckDisk -
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).
Copy/paste the results into your next post.

2. Uninstall Norton/Symantec using this removal tool:
Tool. Norton is a known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials (free) in its place and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on. Once your get your system stable, you can try Norton again; but I do not recommend it. At his point you are trying to eliminate all potential causes of BSOD's.

3. Outdated drivers can and do cause BSOD's. You have numerous outdated drivers. It is certainly possible that come of these drivers are causing conflicts with your hard drive and the I/O system.

Update as many of these drivers as you can through your computer manufacturer's website. If you cannot update them from there, use the links I provided.

How to find drivers -
- I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

- - The most common drivers are listed on this page:
Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page:
Drivers and Downloads

This will be a time consuming task. If you need help with the drivers, please post. I suggest you start with oldest drivers, those in red font.
