    Help with BSODs

Any help is appreciated, hopefully there is data in here to determine which driver is causing the blue screens.

    - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bits
    - This PC is a little more than 1 year old, and was upgraded from a pre-installed Vista using the upgrade CDs from the manufacturer .
    - BSODs started happening right after the upgrade, and happen once every few days. No new hardware has been installed since the upgrade.
    - A week or two ago I installed driver verifier, and the last BSOD has some info from the verifier.

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Nanotech1 and Welcome.

Your dump files point towards your device drivers.
However, you have Driver verifier enabled, so that would be the expected result.

To turn off Driver Verifier when finished, Open a Command Prompt or Run... and type verifier /reset and press OK or Enter.
    OR
GoTo Start and in the Search Window type verifier.exe. Select Delete existing settings and press "Finish".

Norton is known to be a cause of BSOD's on Windows 7 systems. I suggest that you uninstall Norton using the Norton Removal Toolftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/englis...moval_Tool.exe in Safe Mode. Download Blue Screen friendly Microsoft Security Essentials as its replacement. Make sure Windows firewall is enabled!

    Outdated Drivers. Update:

ADIHdAud.sys Tue Apr 15 12:54:13 2008 SoundMAX Digital HD Audio Driver OEM

HECIx64.sys Sat May 12 03:00:20 2007 Intel Management Engine Interface

    nvlddmkm.sys Fri Jul 09 22:15:58 2010 nVidia Drivers

Let us know how it goes. If you get further problems with blue screens, attach your new dump files and details and we'll move on from there.

These were all caused by your Symantec (specifically ADSvai64.sys--part of the intrusion detection system)

I would remove it and replace with Microsoft security essentials

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

Hi nano and welcome to the forum. If you have not turned Driver Verifier off, please do so. I looked at three non verifier enabled dumps. The are all bugcheck 9F, DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, and they blame e1e6032e.sys, Intel PRO/1000 Adapter NDIS 6 deserialized driver. This driver is out of date; update it through this link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx.

I recommend that you uninstall Norton using this removal tool: Tool. Norton is a known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems as are many third party security programs. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials in its place. Once you know your system is stable, you can try Norton again. But do not reinstall your current version; it is outdated.

Out of date drivers can and do cause BSOD's. You have the following out of date drivers loaded on your your system. Those in red font are quite obsolete. Updated these drivers through the links provided.

    How to find drivers -
    - I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
    - - To remove any left over driver remnants, especially from graphics cards, use driver sweeper Guru3D - Driver Sweeper
