Windows 7: Recently-Built PC, concerned with a BSOD

Others may disagree however.
Agree - updating BIOS is a risky procedure. If something goes wrong when updating - you'll be ending up in the market looking for a new computer.

Usual causes:
Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

Your dump file blames the ntkrnlmp.exe which is a Windows System file and is highly unlikely to be the cause.

The AMD driver amdsbs.sys Fri Mar 20 18:36:03 2009 is specifically mentioned in this dump file.
Have you checked with your Mobo Mfr for any updates available? MSI.
Have you checked for compatibility with Windows 7 of the games you are trying to run? See this thread: Windows 7 - UT3
Have you tried running them in compatibility mode?
Are your System Updates "up to date" (thinking kernel mode driver??)?

I also typed Windows 7 6.1.7600.16617 into google and as a return I got a good few pages about blue screens, system instability etc.

caused by drivers using improper addresses.

Hello again, and sorry for the delay. I just got back from work.

I've attached the requested files below, but also have two updates to my quest for a stable computer:

1. I finally decided to install the ATI Catalyst software for my motherboard. Despite sounding like it's an ATI graphics driver, in reality it is the ACTUAL motherboard driver suite; it installed the north-/south-bridge drivers, XRaid, and USB drivers among other things. It still would have been nice if AMD/ATI made the package sound a bit more like a motherboard package instead of the graphics suite .

2. I still had my suspicions that a hardware issue may be the cause of the blue-screens, namely potential overheating. I downloaded Speedfan and checked my hardware temps: at idle, everything is well within acceptable range (CPU and GPU hovering between 25 and 35 Celsius) except for something called F71889F; that thing is idling at 105. I know Speedfan readings should be taken with a grain of salt, but I confirmed the CPU temps with my BIOS and it checks out, so I'm led to believe that this F71189F is sitting in my tower fully prepared to boil water. A quick google search revealed that it's a device from Fintek, and is used to monitor hardware. Beyond this, there isn't much documentation about it. I'll have to email MSI about it.

PS - Forgot to mention:

I spent most of today doing some extra research, and I'm starting to believe that this may be more of a hardware issue than software. Mainly, I checked MSI's test reports for my motherboard (MS-7551) and found that the CPU (AMD Phenom II X4), GPU (MSI GeForce 470 GTX), and RAM (G.Skill DDR II 6400 2x 2 GB) were not even listed in the recommended hardware. I'm lead to believe that the motherboard was first developed before the hardware that I'm using came out; this also seems to match the perfmon report stating that the CPU, GPU, and RAM were operating "slowly".

If this is the case, then I will just need to invest in a more up-to-date motherboard. Still, a second opinion on this would be helpful!

I've managed to resolve the issue.

I assembled all of the drivers, formatted my hard drives, and reinstalled everything. I also increased the voltage to my RAM, which seems to have been the primary cause for all of the blue screens.

Thank you for your help.
