    EDIT!! Just remembered. In case it messes up, maybe half installed file or something. Driver Sweeper will clean it out.

    In my x64 SetUp Realtek HDA locations:

    C:\Program Files\Realtek
    C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation InformationHIDDEN\{F132AF7F-7BCA-4EDE-8A7C-958108FE7DBC}

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RtHDVCpl
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{F132AF7F-7BCA-4EDE-8A7C-958108FE7DBC}
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Realtek Semiconductor Corp.

    I run Driver Sweeper, it attempts to update. After completing an update and rebooting itself WinUpdateHelper comes up that it crashed, with this in the sending box:
    Code:
    Description:
      Stopped working

    Files that help describe the problem:
      C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Local\Temp\WER62E7.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
      C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Local\Temp\WER7A8C.tmp.hdmp

    Attempted to get rid of Realtek without updating Driver Sweeper, looks like everything is fine, PC reboots, I load it again after rebooting, still shows and I still get the same errors when trying to install the driver software. Windows also automatically tries to 'find' it and it says it failed.

    It did however go from "unknown device"-> "audio device on high definition audio bus".

    I'm back to getting the no driver supported in this driver package message too.

    Edit: Should I be looking to those locations to uninstall? Delete folders/registry items manually?

    Try rolling back the driver through Device Manager.

    I hate to say this. Have you got a very (I mean very!!) recent restore point? Seems a shame to get this far to roll the whole thing back though.

    Edit: Should I be looking to those locations to uninstall? Delete folders/registry items manually?
    Could try it.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Realtek Semiconductor Corp. <- "Unable to delete all specified values"

    I'm denied access to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&R EV_1001\5&3b4fa5b6&0&0001\Properties
    and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_1458A002&R EV_1000\4&24734d84&0&0201\Properties

    A no on the roll back, it's greyed out, also I have no system restore points at all, I had set it to make them automatically forever ago but when I went to go check to see if I had any once this BSOD stuff started, there were none.

    Did everything but strangely inside of
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&R EV_1001\5&3b4fa5b6&0&0001\Properties
    Are several other folders which no matter what doing all listed above, I cannot open.
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1001\5&3b4fa5b6&0&0001\Properties\{540b947e-8b40-45bc-a8a2-6a0b894cbda2}
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_1002&DEV_AA01&SUBSYS_00AA0100&REV_1001\5&3b4fa5b6&0&0001\Properties\{83da6326-97a6-4088-9453-a1923f573b29}
    And a few others.
    Can't delete or rename HDAUDIO due to this.

    I'm struggling to find anything with that error code. I think it has something to do with a windows uaa driver, the realtek download for your mobo includes it. I'd suggest trying that one. Check I've got the right mobo first! GA-EP43-DS3L

    Worked like a charm. Going to upgrade it to the proper 'new' version once I get a chance tomorrow.
