Computer sometimes freezes, makes weird static noises from the speaker
Hi again;
I've posted here before (https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...5266-bsod.html) and it was determined that there was a possible problem with my motherboard. But before I sent it away to be repaired/replaced, I decided just to let a computer store have a quick look at it. Turns out a thrid party who had assembeled my computer had done a very poor job, having done things such as installing the power supply upside down (so its fan was blocked) and a fair number of loose connections. The computer store fixed these problems, and it seemed like my computer was working just fine.
However, a problem still persists. Sometimes, it seems at total random times, my computer will freeze, or lock up. About half the time when it does this, its accompanied by a horrendous noise on my speakers, almost like static, but not quite...its hard to describe. No blue screens. From doing a few google searches, I've seen some possibilty that my RAM speed or voltage might be incorrect. Is there any truth to that?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advanced.
