HELP Windows 7 stuck on PLEASE WAIT no safe mode

hey guys, i need your help. my windows 7 always stops at please wait (before user account choices). i guess it will go on forever so i have to turn it off the hard way (long press power button), i dont know what caused this , few days ago, like 2 days ago, it suffered from bluescreen ataport.sys thingy, and had it solved by uninstalling the last app i installed just to get rid of st*pid win7 anti spyware 2011.
i dont have the installation disk of windows 7 with me,though i can access the pc because i have ubuntu on dual boot,

so, can i have this fixed without the live cd?i can access the pc thru ubuntu dual boot. tia

You mentioned ataport.sys. You could have a rootkit infection. See if you can boot into safe mode and run this rootkit scan
How to remove malware belonging to the family Rootkit.Win32.TDSS (aka Tidserv, TDSServ, Alureon)?

I'm thinking your computer is still infected or the virus you had damaged your OS.

You can try a Startup Repair
