    computer still acting up

    Hey everyone,
My computer continues to hang and act funny. I did install 8 more GB's of matching ram, but the computer crashed once before the ram addition. I have attached information that may be helpful. thank you for any suggestions. marc

Momory corruption. was all the ram purchased at the ssame time in the same package?

    I would

    1-run memtest
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

2- remove symantec and replace with Microsoft security essentials.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product | Norton Support

    Hello,
I am writing back again as i am still getting BSOD. I have 2 sets of matching ram. The first set was Patriot ram 2x2GB's. The second set is 2x4GB's corsair. Both were matching pairs. After the last BSOD i pulled the patriot ram out. The corsair ram was also checked with memtest86. The corsair ram is brand new and is in the second set of memory slots. I have not bought a new video card yet as i was hoping to make sure that was the problem before a new purchase. I removed nortons like instructed and installed microsoft security essentials. I am attaching the new dump file. I hope this will help someone lead me to the end of my frustrations. Thanks everyone for there time and patience. I am very grateful. Marc

I don't know if I'm having a debugger issue or not but I've never seen anything like what your dump file just laid on me. I'll put it up here in the hopes someone else can make sense of it.

If I had to guess I think you may have corruption on the hard drive. Do you know how to run disk check?

Dump files may be corrupted. Upload new ones. Debugger is gone plainly slow (likely server is going down)

I have reloaded the mini dump file after I reran the program for it. As stated earlier I did as was directed and removed nortons. I also removed the first set of matching ram. I now only have the Matched pair of Corsair ram that I just purchased installed. Thanks again for taking the time to look at this for me. Everyone greatly appreciates the work you all do. Marc

Still getting corrupted data from your minidumps.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
    is pointing at freed memory.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: fffff82008332850, memory referenced.
    Arg2: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: fffff8800462841d, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
    address.
    Arg4: 0000000000000005, (reserved)

At this point I think it's time to run memtest.
    Memory Diagnostics Tool
I personally suggest the memtest86 method even though it's more time consuming I would let it make at least 5 passes.
