Billy this was caused by a memory exception when running winsat.exe (the windows assessment tool. Your system had been up for 10+ hours so I suspect it was a one off.

I would run memtest to check your memory

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot. Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

i have been using tc for a while but never seen these errors i am trying to copy large amount of files and i periodically get read error: data error (cyclical redundancy check) on a random file, then the program sort of hangs, pressing skip does nothing, only solution is to cancel. --
