    **Need Help!! BSOD Sony Vaio**

How can I fix this. I have scanned the disk and did a memory test and all came back normal.

I can't boot in to safe mode, it just loads the files then stops.

The last file it loads is CLASSPNP.SYS, then it stops.

    How can I fix this!!
    Thanks!

It would help if I knew what happened just before the crash. Did you download something? Did you add or change something? Did you turn the power off without shutting down?

Boot the Win7 DVD or Repair CD, accept any offered repair. If Win7 won't start, boot back in to run Startup Repair from Recovery Tools list. It should offer to System Restore; if not, do that next from tools list.

You should make a Repair CD from the link I posted earlier. You may need it to run Startup Repair, System Restore, etc if Win7 won't start.

Try running System Restore from Safe Mode: System Restore

Heres, my questions. Can I make a repair disc of a 32bit OS instead of a 64bit? Also, does the repair disc work with any versions of Windows (Ultimate, Pro, Home)?

The reason I ask is due to the fact that I am making this disc on my computer (64bit) the bad computer is my cousins (32bit).

You would be advised to use the same bit version repair disc as the o/s it is going to be used on.

If my memory serves right in sony vaio laptops there is a hidden partition where all the drivers and stuff is stored as backup. When you switch on your laptop press F8 immediately and it will open sony recovery or something. There you can repair your system or do clean install.Post back the results
