Rebooting automatically !

Hi,

I have unchecked the checkbox in performance-> advanced -> rebbot

However three times this evening my PC reboots without warning and I get a bluescreen

How can I really disable this ?

have donwloaded your reg fiel and intergrated it in the registry, but still has rebooted twice since !

Annoying since I cannot see anything, nor save my work

Any ideas ?

Win 7 Pro fully updated ( auto updates on)

TIA to all experts here !

Downloaded what regfile?
What does the bluescreen say?
Please provide this info so we can get to the source of the problem: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

Rebooting BSOD

reg file is the regfile found under tutorials, enable or disable automatic restart of Windows on the Seven website.

I have not had the time to see the message : it vanishes almost "in an instant"

However, i have noticed that it has happened twice when my wife tried to print from her PC ( LAN wired to router, printer shared on my PC; that printer had already printed earlier without problem)

Had also at same time Nokia PC Suite opened.

Have tried to look at minidump file, but it is unreadable !

Minidump here

Hi

here's my minidump

Have just again got a rebbot, at the second my wife has hit the OK button to print from her laptop !

Several minutes earlier I had had a reboot while trying an old Win98 / XP program

Hope someone can help pin the problem !

As reminder my wife's PC is XP SP1, printer is Deskjet 5652, shared on my Win 7 64 bits Pro

Hi PivertMe.

Your crashes are caused by the ZoneAlarm firewall driver.

Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

ZoneAlarm Firewall is known to be a cause of BSOD's on many Windows 7 systems. Download the ZoneAlarm Remover - http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cpes_clean.exe. Uninstall ZoneAlarm through Programs and Features. Boot to safe mode and run the ZoneAlarm Remover. Reboot. Make sure that Windows Firewall is enabled.
Alternatively
Try this Microsoft hotfix if you wish to keep ZoneAlarm: Stop Error 0x07F when you run apps. that transfer data by the UDP protocol in Win 7. I can neither verify or discount this fix. It may work, it may not.

I will go through the rest of your latest .dmp file to check other drivers

Remove ZoneAlarm first. If that fixes the BSOD errors, then you can go get the hotfix and then install a fresh copy of ZoneAlarm (if you want).

DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000091, A driver switched stacks using a method that is not supported by
the operating system. The only supported way to extend a kernel
mode stack is by using KeExpandKernelStackAndCallout.

Reboots

THANKS !!! ASAP
Will try all these !

Had ZoneAlarm working welle for a week.

All this seems to have begun after my son installed a Netlimiter program trial.
Have uninstalled that, but there seem to be drivers and services still loaded and many remnants pointing to drivers ( NLNDIS... things by Locktime) in registry

These seem to be web/net/lan traffic "controllers" as I understand.

Thanks again

I will give feedback ASAP
