actually, I have! When I was using my friends machine with my HDD, I booted up my PC with his HDD plugged up and ran an identical stress test through AOD. My machine w/ his hard drive made it through the whole hour, and his machine with my HDD blue screened.

So I feel like that's really narrowed it down quite a bit :/

Also: Could this problem be caused by my recent switch from Intel to AMD? I ran Driver Sweeper and CCleaner and got rid of all of the unnecessary drivers and registry configulabaries and whatnots.

I would like to mention that I used to have a lot of problems with my old set-up (which was the main reason for my upgrade/switch to AMD). I was running an Intel E8400 @ 3.0GHz, Corsair XMS2 DDR2 ram, and an Asus P5N-D mobo. I was constantly experiencing system hangs at irregular intervals, both under stress and not. I never once got a BSOD though. The problem seems to be the same now that I've swapped components, the only difference being the BSOD. I've run all of these tests (Memtest86, Chkdsk etc.) before the core swap and had them come up negative.

Also: My mobo is rated up to 1333MHz for RAM, and I have 1600MHz sticks in it, but they're clocked @1333. I'm running them a little below (.1) their advertised voltage too. I wouldn't think this would be the problem, but I figured I'd make it known, just in case.

And one more thing!: If I find the HDD is at fault, it probably would be in my best interest not to add it to a RAID array with my new HDD, right?

EDIT: My HDD passed the diagnostic tool's tests. could there be an error that this diagnostic tool missed?
