nVidia driver BSOD - Mainly Cold Boot
Hi there,
To start with, system is running on an OEM copy of Windows Home Premium 64 bit that I purchased along with new hardware for a build.
Wondering if you could help. In recent months i've had a right headache with a build done in November. I've had to switch out the motherboard and PSU at one point, everything seemed to be smooth and dandy until I upgraded graphics cards a few days ago.
Went from a pair of Radeon 6870s upto a couple 570 GTX in SLI. Did a format as I was having problems with the initial two 570s which turned out to be faulty, great.
Got two new EVGA 570 GTX SCs and everything was great until randomly started getting BSODs from cold boots. I done some digging and seen mentions of issues with Realtek drivers.
I have looked at Whoscrashed but it just points to nvlddmkm.sys and Video TDR errors.
Don't know how to read much further into it and i'm desperately struggling. Starting to feel like I may just have to write off the whole system. It's getting that bad.
In the recent past I ran Intel Burn Test for 50 passes, Prime95 overnight and memtest on each stick of ram without problems.
Something weird going on with nVidia cards in my system, format didn't help.
I did get a BSOD playing Mass Effect 2 but I was forcing allsorts of AA modes, so it didn't suprise me. Only issues since have been these cold boot BSODs.
Played Crysis Warhead, Just Cause 2, TDU2 and other stuff and in Windows has generally been ok.
Any ideas??? Getting pretty desperate.
