BSOD with new Windows Install and Hardware
Hi.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I've been slowly building up a new system over the last few months, and the final piece was adding a second PNY Nvidia GTS450 for a dual SLI rig. Since installing the new hardware and drivers, I've had some issues with an occasional sudden reboot of the PC... which I later realized is Win 7's new way of dropping a BSOD.
In the process of all of this, I've been installing and uninstalling software like a madman. So this week I decided to do a full reinstall of Windows. No luck. I've tried to eliminate any hardware overheating issues (my cards stay below 60C).
The reboot/crashes have come when I've been using some pretty low-demand picture editing or when I've been making adjustments in the Nvidia control panel.
I am hoping someone here can at least point me in the right direction... if there is an obvious software issue at play, or if I ended up with a defective piece of hardware.
Many thanks!
Windows 7 Professional 64bit.
