random bsods - RAM or drivers?
hi folks i just registered with this forum after is studied many threads regarding bsod topics here and refreshing my knowledge up from 0.001 to ca. 0.003 .
i have a simple issue. a new colleague's of mine personal computer is suffering lots of bsods during the last 10 days, approximately 2-3 a day. it's no matter wether he's compiling his code in the VS or debugging around or surfing or smth else he says.
as i am the 'hardware guy' here i took a look at the newly bought pc.
in the first, it had only 8GB of the 12GB of ram recognised. it sustains of 3 pieces of 4GB each - ddr3-1333. during boot it also suffered from a "recovering dram size..." in the POST screen and rebooting again issues. after up to 4 repeats it eventually started windwos and all.
after updating bios an re-plugging the ram and setting the bios defaults to 'auto' and 'standard' this issue was solved and 12GB are correctly worked (system is booting properly)
since then the bsods came up - after installing windows, VS, MS SQL studio and all the other stuff the pc is now bein worked on and bsods are ocurring - during the installment process there weren't any.
now the question, what's the cause? since it's a pretty new system i think it still could be a weird driver problem as i have learned here in several threads. i've tried out the MS Debug Tool already, but still i can't 'read' the outputs it delivers to me.
so i have attached a zip with 4 minidumps that i hope that someone of you could check it out and give me a hint.
also, i have attached a system specs txt created by the Speccy tool that might give you a oicture of the sick system.
i hope that you could help me out,
greetings from germany
